TOXICITY: The list is extensive for possible hazardous waste from solar panels. In bifacial solar panels Silicon nitride is commonly found. Read the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS); in 2016 listed under the US TSCA (Toxic Substances Control Act). Related to Firefighting, special hazards are: Nitrogen oxides (NOx), and silicon oxides. Firefighters should wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
